Dr. Warren Dick presents on gypsum webinars

The webinar, “Building Profitability and Protecting Water Quality through Gypsum”, was hosted by the Partnership for Ag Resource Management on December 15, 2015. Dr. Warren Dick, professor of soil and environmental science at The Ohio State University, presented on the current state of the science on the effectiveness and applicability of gypsum as a soil amendment. Cory Schurman, National Sales Manager from Gypsoil, discussed the value gypsum offers to growers through improved productivity and sustainability. The “Facts about Gypsum” webinar will be hosted on January 20th, 2016 and sponsored by GYPSOIL. Speakers include Dr. Warren Dick, The Ohio State University; Dr. H. Allen Torbert, Soil Scientist, USDA-ARS; and Mr. Ron Chamberlain, Agronomist and Founder, GYPSOIL. Topics will include the NRCS practice standards for amending soils with gypsum that were updated in April 2015. This webinar will acquaint the CCA with these standards, and how they are applied in humid-region, non-sodic soils. Researchers will discuss the latest research addressing results of gypsum applications as they pertain to the NRCS standards.
