As we reported in our summer newsletter last week, The Nature Conservancy of Canada, along with Greenleaf Advisors and other partners, have been working for some time to protect Caribou Island, a signature property in Lake Superior off the coast of Thunder Bay. Caribou Island is part of the planet’s largest freshwater archipelago, and an important site of Great Lakes biodiversity

This morning, NCC proudly announced the acquisition of a portion of the island, including cliffs with nesting habitat for peregrine falcons. Join us in celebrating this milestone, and help Greenleaf and NCC as we work towards protecting more of these precious islands.
